CGMC policy analyst examines complexity, depth of state’s budget problems
In an op-ed column printed in several greater Minnesota newspapers, CGMC senior policy analyst Steve Peterson takes a hard look at the state’s budget woes and urges candidates for governor to come forward with detailed solutions. Steve also points readers to CGMC’s MyMNBudget.com project, an online budget tool that provides everyday Minnesotans with the tools to balance the state’s budget and the information to understand the budget deficit’s full complexity.

Mayors release comprehensive online budget tool at MyMNBudget.com, urge governor candidates to put forth detailed plans
With the state facing a $5.8 billion deficit, Minnesotans deserve detailed answers on how candidates for governor will close the budget gap, said the Coalition of Greater Minnesota Cities (CGMC) and St. Paul Mayor Chris Coleman today at a press event as they unveiled a new website that will allow candidates and everyday Minnesotans to do precisely that.
Alexandria “Support Our Troops” Fundraiser
[ September 11, 2010; ] A “Support Our Troops” silent auction will be held in conjunction with a naming ceremony for the Alexandria VA outreach clinic on Sept. 11, 2010.
